Our commitment to access

Accessibility Statement

Sherlock Insurance Group is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to learn about our services, request a quote, and reach our team with confidence.

The standard we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive needs, and they help make the site easier to use for everyone.

What we have done

  • Semantic, keyboard-navigable structure with a skip-to-content link and clear, visible focus indicators throughout.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and accessible names for buttons, links, icons, and form fields.
  • Color contrast that meets the WCAG AA minimums, and support for browser zoom and text resizing.
  • Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” setting, which pauses background video and animation.
  • Forms that announce required fields, errors, and confirmation messages to screen readers.

Ongoing effort and known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review the site as it evolves. Some pages rely on third-party tools (for example, our online scheduling embed) whose accessibility we do not fully control. Where that is the case, we always provide a phone number and email address as an alternative way to reach us.
